Lead generation through data pipelines
Why Pounce builds pipelines instead of selling lists, and what happens to a record between its source and your inbox.

A lead list starts going stale the day it is exported. The companies in it move on, the opportunities close, and nobody tells you which rows still matter. Pounce works the other way round. We build data pipelines that read the places your buyers leave a trail, every day, and turn what they find into leads.
What a pipeline does
Every Pounce pipeline runs the same five steps.
- Collect. It reads its sources on a schedule: a tender portal, a company register, the Government Gazette, a municipal register, a directory or a website. Where a source has an official listing or feed, the pipeline uses it.
- Clean. Raw records are messy. Titles arrive in capitals, the same buyer is spelled three ways and the same notice is published twice. The pipeline fixes the text, tidies the names and removes duplicates. Personal contact details are dropped.
- Enrich. Each record is joined to what else is known about the organisation behind it, such as how many other opportunities the same buyer has open and where.
- Match. The record is checked against your rules: what you sell, where you work and how much time you need. Only matches go through.
- Deliver. Matches arrive where your team already works: a morning email, a spreadsheet, your CRM, a webhook or an API.
The home page shows one real tender going through these steps, from the record as eTenders publishes it to the email your team would receive.
Products and custom pipelines
Some pipelines are useful to a whole market, so we run them as products. Pounce Tenders is the first: every open government tender in South Africa, searchable for free and filtered to your trade and area. Pounce Projects (building plan approvals and rezonings) and Pounce Signals (liquidations and business rescue) are next.
Other pipelines only make sense for one company, because they read sources only your market uses and match against your own ideal customer. Those we build as custom pipelines. You send a brief. A paid scoping step (R25,000, credited in full against the build) collects a real sample from the sources, so you can judge the leads before anything is built, with a fixed price for the build. If they’re useful, we build the pipeline and run it. Builds start at R120,000.
Why pipelines beat lists
- Fresh. A pipeline runs every day, so a lead reaches you while it is still an opportunity.
- Traceable. Every lead links back to the record it came from, so your team can check it.
- Specific. Rules filter for trade, area and timing, so your team only sees what fits.
- Watched. Sources change their formats and sometimes go quiet. We monitor every source and fix the pipeline before the gap reaches your sales team.
If you sell to government, start with the free tender search. If your best leads sit somewhere else, send us a brief.
