Questions
Is this the official company register?
No. Pounce is not CIPC. For a legal check of a company’s registration, directors or status, use CIPC’s own search on BizPortal. Pounce shows what a business is doing: where it trades, what it does, its industry registrations and recent public signals.
Where does the information come from?
Public registers (CIDB, FSCA, NCR, National Treasury), government tenders and awards, the Government Gazette, company announcements, the news and Pounce’s own proprietary data. Each fact in a full record links to its source.
Why are contacts and people hidden?
They are counted here and shown in the full record, which comes with any plan (Lite and Starter are free for 3 days). That keeps the details of people in business roles out of public search pages.
Can a business be removed?
Yes. Write to [email protected] and we remove it from everything customers see and export.
